Chevy Pickups
1957 Chevy Pickups are the most popular of all years General Motors made the trucks.
Updates and changes from the older 1955 were the egg-carte grille gave it an open-mouth design.
There were 8 bars holding what looked like an open trapezoid in the center.
The pickups came with the 283 cubic inch V-8 motor at 160 hp and 270 foot pounds of torque.
The ’57 Pickups came with a dished steering wheel and had safety door locks and strikers.
General Motors opted for a rigid mounting for the rear axle with threaded spring shackles.
This replaced the older center draw bolt type used in the past.
Some of the other truck options were power steering and power brakes, plus a side mounted spare tire.
A couple of options for transmissions included a three speed synchromesh (without overdrive or with), and a four speed synchromesh transmission.

In each of the listings there are more pictures and they expand to full size so you can get a really good look at each one.
The restored 1957 Chevy pickups just do not last when they are for sale.
